Field Consultation Program (FCP)
FCP Logo

This program offers consultative services in the areas of governance, management and operations.

The United Methodist Association’s Field Consultation Program (FCP) provides an opportunity for health and human service organizations to secure the services of knowledgeable, qualified and experienced professionals. These professionals can provide focused assistance in the areas of governance, management and operations.

FCP offers this assistance through three different options:

  • Individualized Peer Consultation
  • The Vocation of the Trustee Governance Workshops
  • Executive Search Partnerships
  • UMA University

Individualized Peer Consultation

The Field Consultation Program's Individualized Peer Consultation provides short-term and issue-related consultations.

Site visits, written reports and telephone communications are utilized by a select group of consultants to assist organizations in evaluating internal and external situations, identifying a plan of action and assessing the organization’s basic direction.

Several highly respected faith-based professionals are retained by the Association to provide individualized peer consultation. These select professionals are experienced in specific management and service related issues.

Example: An organization experiencing occupancy difficulties could be provided a consultant with marketing expertise to assist in devising a strategy to increase applications. Another organization might request a consultant with expertise in development and fundraising.

Be it community relations, volunteer utilization, fundraising or governance board communication and leadership, individualized peer consultation can help.

Vocation of the Trustee Program

FCP now offers The Vocation of the Trustee Program (VOT). This program is available to all governing boards of faith-based, not-for-profit organizations.
