Welcome to UMA!

The United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries (UMA) is a national association of United Methodist-related, and other faith-based ministries, and professionals actively involved in promoting quality care in a Faith-based setting.

Headquartered near Dayton, Ohio, UMA serves more than 400 health and human service organizations and professionals nationwide. These ministries respond to the needs of nearly ten million persons annually.

UMA offers a number of Services and Events to assist members in keeping current in technologies, programs and requirements. The Annual National Convention provides not only training classes and CEU's, but offers tremendous networking opportunities with other organizations and personnel. Other training and networking opportunities include UMA University, the CYF Summer Workshop, the OAM Leadership Dinner, and the Keep The Fires Burning program. Additionally, UMA has the only national faith-based accreditation program, EAGLE, which promotes excellence in all member organizations.
