Child Care Specialist

Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services, Inc., has positions available for full-time, part-time and relief Child Care Specialist.

This is a position working with teenage adolescents in a residential setting. Must successfully complete all phases of core and specialized training, including physical restraint training. Position may experience verbal and/or physical aggression from client population. Must be able to set boundaries and use de-escalation techniques when necessary. Director of Fund Development

Chaplain

Wesley Enhanced Living at Pennypacker Park is in search of a candidate to fill the position of Chaplain. Pennypack Park is a Continuous Care Retirement Community in the greater Philadelphia area related to The Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, and serves persons living independently in apartments, persons aging in place with personal care, and persons in need of skilled nursing support. Pennypack Park is a part of Wesley Enhanced Living, consisting of five retirement centers and two HUD facilities.

The Chaplain of Pennypack Park will report to the Director of Pastoral Care; This is a full-time position with responsibilities for preaching and planning of worship, pastoral visitation (both inside Pennypack Park and in the area hospitals), and support of residents, families and co-workers; some program development will be expected; the qualified candidate will also work with clinical care teams and family support teams.

Qualifications/Requirements: Eligible for Ordination as Elder, The United Methodist Church preferred; Minimum 2 units Basic CPE preferred; Age-specific training in the field of care for the elderly will be considered a positive qualification. Experience in the local church will be appreciated.

The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home is currently seeking applicants for the position of Foster Care Coordinators. The primary role of the Foster Care Coordinators at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home is to recruit and retain foster parents. There are two open positions that will be located in Orlando and Tampa, Florida.

Education/Experience Requirements: Masters Degree in Social Work or a related field with a minimum of two years Foster Care experience, and extensive experience in training or supervising foster parents and staff. Certificates/Licenses: Child Protection Professional; Certification; M.A.P.P. Certification; Valid Florida Drivers License. Duties/Responsibilities include: Manage the processes and paperwork associated with licensing, re-licensing and contract compliance; Review and approve licensure and re-licensure packets; Problem solve crisis situations with foster parents/foster children in an efficient and effective manner, on call 24/7; Provide appropriate interventions and referrals to avoid placement disruptions and foster parent burn-out; Recruit and retain foster parents and annually evaluate their suitability and the suitability of their home for foster care placement; Identify and respond to the training, education, and ongoing support needs of our foster parents; License and re-license foster homes based on state requirements and COA standards; Lead MAPP training for potential foster parents. Residential Child Care Specialist

The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home is currently seeking applicants for the position of Residential Child Care specialist. This position is for a married couple only. The primary role of the Residential Child Care specialists / Houseparents (RCCS) is to oversee the day-to-day care and supervision of the children assigned to their cottage; responsible for monitoring all the aspects of daily cottage life; will be a couple bound in the traditional legal relationship of marriage. DIRECT CARE STAFF

Methodist Youth Services, Inc., has positions available for full-time, part-time, and on-call Direct Care Staff.

Positions are available for individuals experienced in assisting youth with building life skills and developing recreational programs and activities.  Candidates must be experienced working with “at risk” youth that have criminal, delinquent, aggressive, and sexual behavior problems and must be able to set boundaries and use de-escalation techniques when necessary.
