UMA offers audio, video and printed educational resources for staff and governance boards. Its "Models of Excellence" publication series depicts active inclusion of Wesleyan values in programmatic applications. "You Have Joined A Great Heritage" is an excellent resource which can be used to educate new employees about John Wesley and The United Methodist Church.

Heritage Book Cover Picture

The United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries (UMA) is pleased to offer “You Have Joined A Great Heritage” in both a booklet and DVD format. These resources were created to educate non-United Methodists working within health and welfare ministries that are related to The United Methodist Church.

This 18-page booklet and the DVD both explain United Methodism today; its diversity, its beliefs and its history. It is very informative for United Methodists and non-United Methodists alike and serves as a great complement to your existing new employee orientation.

Those interested in purchasing copies of this booklet or DVD can either download an order form at this link: You Have Joined a Great Heritage Order Form, or contact UMA at 937-415-3624 ext. 305 or E-Mail Us.
