UMA Travel Services is pleased to announce that it is re-launching the UMA travel website (www.UMAtravel.com) with a new reservation system, and new supplier discounts in place.

The new website will also support improved multi-media capabilities to make announcements, provide tutorials, and offer featured travel discounts using sound and/or video clips.

The new online reservation system is powered by GetThere, the leading supplier of online reservation systems to corporations. GetThere is a subsidiary of Sabre Holdings, which also owns and operates Travelocity, and Travelocity for Business. GetThere has over 3,000 corporate clients using customized websites for their Travelers.

UMA Travel Services has also been able to negotiate the following supplier discounts which will be applied automatically to all reservations made online, or by telephone with UMA Travel:

• Best Western Hotels: 10% discount off standard rate
• La Quinta Inns: 12% discount off standard rate
• Dollar Rent A Car: Fixed Rates for Compact $43, Intermediate $45, Full $47, etc. Surcharges apply: $3 in Atlanta, LA, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, and Denver. $8 in Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, and DC. $12 at NYC Airports. Includes unlimited mileage, and additional drivers at no fee.
• Thrifty Rent A Car: Fixed Rates For: Compact $43, Intermediate $45, Full $47, etc. Surcharges only apply in New York State $9/day, and Manhattan $15/day. Includes unlimited mileage, and additional drivers at no fee. Includes 15% discount on parking at Thrifty Airport Parking lots where available. Includes 15% discount on Thrifty light truck rentals where available.

UMA organizations, their employees, and family members can book travel reservations through the website (http://www.UMAtravel.com) or the toll free telephone number (800-919-1180).

Travelers are encouraged to use the UMA Travel Services website to reserve both their business and leisure travel, as well to book cruises and vacation resort packages.

The following transaction fees apply to Air/Car/Hotel bookings: Online - $9, Telephone - $20. There are no fees to book cruises and vacation packages either online or by telephone.

These transaction fees allow UMA Travel Services to offer a customized travel program for the Association, with industry leading software, and the supporting network of agents and equipment that make it possible. This flat fee is competitive with the combined ticketing and distribution fees now being charged by Orbitz, Expedia, and other internet websites, while still being lower than the fees charged by most corporate travel agencies.
